According to Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), the Senate should investigate ties between Joe Biden’s family and China.

In an interview Wednesday, the Republican lawmaker asserted that if Biden wins the presidency, he would fail to hold China accountable for their actions given what she described as “a cozy relationship” between the two.

Her remarks come amid allegations of a Chinese intelligence operative targeting Democrats to gain political influence. The senator described China as part of “a new axis of evil” and claimed the communist country targets politicians.

“They’re going after politicians that they think are friendly to China, they’re looking at governors that are friendly to China policy,” Blackburn explained. “And they’re making their list and they’re targeting the sphere of influence around these individuals.”

If Biden is sworn in, according to the senator, it will be up to the Senate to investigate his ties to China.
